## What should you do in the first hour?

- Save screenshots, the URL, account name, date and time before requesting removal.
- Tell the affected adults and household staff. Agree who handles reports and who keeps the evidence.
- Report the post through the platform's own abuse route. Keep the report receipt.
- Report threats to local police. For a federal threat, use [FBI tips](https://tips.fbi.gov/).
- Call your insurer to ask whether your policy includes incident-response assistance. Coverage depends on your policy.

## What evidence should you preserve?

Keep the original messages, screenshots, links and report receipts. Save the surrounding conversation as well as the posted detail.

## Where can you get specialist support?

For abuse or stalking concerns, contact an advocate through your state's official program. An address confidentiality program is separate from commercial removal work.
